The Soft Skin (Criterion Collection)
I have not yet written my review of this, but I have watched the movie, just not the features, and it is excellent. The Soft Skin is French New Wave meets Alfred Hitchcock meets the tonal darkness of David Fincher’s Gone Girl. I absolutely loved it. The movie tells of a married man who embarks on an affair with a stewardess and the tension that steadily grows until the unexpectedly amazing finale. If any of that sounds good to you, this is a blind buy candidate.
Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb
I saw the first Night at the Museum, though I don’t believe I saw the second. I know I didn’t see the first one until DVD, and I just haven’t found any reason to watch the other two.
