Adi Shankar, who produced the recent, much buzzed about Power Rangers short film along with movies such as Killing Them Softly, Dredd, Lone Survivor, The Grey and others, has just uploaded a fantastic video exploring the ins and outs of film financing in just over six minutes.
His key focus is what he calls D+I+S, which is Domestic Sales + International Sales + Subsity/Government Rebate, and he breaks it down in a way that’s very easy to understand and, as he says, explains why “so many shitty movies get made”. Give it a watch below and enjoy.
