I feel like one of the movies that did not get its due this past awards season was Bennett Miller‘s Foxcatcher. Yes, it was nominated for numerous awards, including Best Director and Best Actor, but I think generally they were seen as after thoughts or the number five slots. I thought the movie was very intense, and its slow pace only served to enhance that tension. Steve Carell, Channing Tatum, and especially Mark Ruffalo are all giving terrific performances. It is a really good film, and if you haven’t seen it, do yourself a favor and check it out.
[amz asin=”B00QK4ANEI” size=”small”]For those still on the fence, the first ten minutes of the film are available for you to watchm which you can do so below. If you like them, watch the whole film. If you are intrigued, watch the whole film. If you don’t like them, watch the whole film anyway to see where it goes.
Foxcatcher hits DVD and Blu-ray next Tuesday on March 3rd, so all of you who missed it can check it out, or if you just want to purchase the film because you like it. I think it is well worth your time.
