‘It Follows’, ‘Sisters’, ‘Slow West’ and ‘Frozen Fever’ in Today’s MPAA Ratings Bulletin

At first glance today’s MPAA ratings bulletin didn’t appear to include much of interest. Hell, I thought the G rating for the upcoming Disney short film “Frozen Fever“, which will premiere in front of the live action Cinderella on March 13 might be the biggest title. But then I looked a little closer and a few more started to pop out.

First off there’s the much talked about horror film It Follows, which has secured a grisly R-rating and then there’s Slow West starring Michael Fassbender and Kodi Smit-McPhee, which A24 picked up at Sundance. And Sisters, the upcoming Tina Fey and Amy Poehler comedy that has secured itself a nice R-rating.

Finally, Anomalisa is the new stop motion animated film from Charlie Kaufman, co-directed by Duke Johnson. The picture was started via Kickstarter and features the voices of Jennifer Jason Leigh, David Thewlis and Tom Noonan. The film does not, however, have a distributor.

You can check out the full bulletin below, which also includes the Samuel L. Jackson action-thriller Big Game, which Magnolia has yet to set a release date for.
