‘Guardians of the Galaxy’s Dave Bautista Rumored to Play Bond 24 Henchman

I wasn’t the biggest fan of Guardians of the Galaxy and one aspect I didn’t enjoy that much in-particular was Dave Bautista‘s performance as Drax. I was apparently in the minority, so much so that a new rumor from Latino Review says Bautista has now landed the role of Hinx, the lead henchman in the upcoming Bond 24.

Earlier in the year a report detailing the specifics for the character were released saying they were looking for an actor that is:

Ideally over 6′ 2″. Hinx is the main henchman/assassin. We are looking for an imposing extremely physically fit actor. He has several fights with Bond and will have to have stunt training. He has to drive. We are looking for someone very unusual, possibly from a sports background.

The casting has not yet been confirmed, but with the recent announcement Lea Seydoux will play the film’s femme fatale it definitely seems final casting is underway.

A table read with the full cast will take place in November just before filming gets underway for a November 6, 2015 release.

Skyfall director Sam Mendes is back at the helm and returning for this next adventure are Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw and Rory Kinnear.
