What I Watched, What You Watched #265

It’s been a week of talking about Gone Girl [read my review] and I feel the coming week won’t be any different now that so many have seen it as it’s a film with several talking points well beyond its plot. That was just one of the three movies I saw this week in theaters along with St. Vincent and Annabelle [read my review].

At home I only watched bits and pieces of Tron: Legacy, which, in bits and pieces, isn’t too bad, but that movie still plays like a massive missed opportunity. It’s always too bad when you get to the end of a movie and the ideas for the sequel are far more interesting than anything you just watched.

Next week I have a screening of Dracula Untold and Fury to check out and on Saturday I just might go see The Book of Life, which would be my first animated movie in some time having skipped Planes: Fire & Rescue, Rio 2 and missing the screening for The BoxTrolls, though based on what I heard that wasn’t really a bad thing.
