I didn’t watch more than 15 minutes of last nights Emmy Awards, but I just so happened to tune in just as Sara Bareilles was singing the In Memoriam segment followed by Billy Crystal‘s tribute to the late Robin Williams, which was short, sweet and to the point. I think it would have been great had Whoopi Goldberg joined him on stage, giving a little more insight into the roots into the origins of the trio’s “Comic Relief” on HBO, but I think this served Williams’ memory well. I can only imagine what will be done at the Oscars, which both Crystal and Goldberg have hosted (Crystal nine times, Goldberg four).
