May as Well Stop Paying Attention to ‘Batman v. Superman’ Rumors

Last week a rumor started floating around about several new villains added to Zack Snyder‘s Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, but now it sounds like everything you hear about the film moving forward may be false. Word is Warner Bros. hired Kevin Smith, whose been revealing plenty of little nuggets of information concerning WB’s future with DC Comics, to write a fake script for the upcoming Man of Steel sequel and leak it to movie news blogs such as Latino Review and Badass Digest.

While this isn’t confirmed, it doesn’t sound in the least bit unlikely, as MovieWeb received an email with the following info:

Late last year both [producer] Charles Roven and Zack Snyder approached Kevin Smith with a early treatment for the film and It was Kevin Smith who came up with the idea to write an entire screenplay based on it but with several huge red herrings and changes which do not appear in the final film. These include plot points and characters etc etc. and ‘leak’ it online.

This script was distributed by myself and others to gossip sites and movie sites like aintitcool, latino review, movie pilot, etc etc

This I can respect and I don’t expect a confirmation or denial on this matter as it would only ruin the intent of the entire operation. I guess you’ll just have to wait until May 6, 2016 to find out what’s true and what isn’t… novel idea right?

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is the highly anticipated action adventure from director Zack Snyder, starring Henry Cavill in the role of Clark Kent/Superman, and Ben Affleck as BruceWayne/Batman.

The film also stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from Man of Steel, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.
