Ryan Gosling‘s Lost River is set to play Cannes tomorrow afternoon, giving press the first look at the experimental new feature marking Gosling’s feature directorial debut. Starring Christina Hendricks as Billy, a single mother swept into a dark underworld, while her teenage son discovers a road that leads him to a secret underwater town. Ben Mendelsohn, Eva Mendes and Saoirse Ronan co-star.
Based on this first clip, you are going to merely get a slight feel for what Gosling is going for and little else as it’s presented entirely out of context. But hey, it’s something right?
