New ‘Transformers 4’ Poster, ‘Transcendence’ Viral Videos & ‘Apes’ Behind the Scenes

First off, Empire has posted some behind-the-scenes pictures from Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (Fox; July 11). Just above you see Toby Kebbell in his motion capture suit as Koba alongside his minions and below as what would appear to be the film’s lead antagonists and below Andy Serkis as Caesar on the horse, a little more cordial with Jason Clarke as Malcolm and Keri Russell as Ellie.

Discussing the film, Serkis tells Empire, “This is now a community of about 2,000 apes [and for] the first eight years [after the humanity-devastating virus], the apes were looking down from Muir Woods to San Francisco and could see lights and fires, but now it’s gone very quiet. Until this day in our film when this small band of humans comes up. That’s suddenly a huge, dividing moment in the lives of these apes. There are some particularly strong reactions to the humans and that’s the course of the story.”

Next are two viral videos to promote Wally Pfister‘s upcoming sci-fi actioner Transcendence (WB; April 18) starring Johnny Depp as the man within the machine.
