A new movie based on the Square Enix video game “Hitman” has gone into production, this one titled Agent 47 with Rupert Friend (“Homeland”) stepping in as the bald assassin for commercials director Aleksander Bach with a script from Skip Woods (A Good Day to Die Hard), Michael Finch (Predators) and Kyle Ward (Machete Kills). Yeah, they didn’t exactly break the bank to put this one together.
Zachary Quinto and Hannah Ware (Shame) co-star and as of right now there isn’t a plot synopsis available or even a planned release date, though 2015 seems likely (or the dumping ground of early 2016) as production is currently underway with the first picture of Friend in costume has arrived online. The video game series revolves around Agent 47 (Friend), a cloned assassin-for-hire, whose flawless record places him in high demand among the wealthy and elite.
