Watch and Listen to the Full Version of Idina Menzel’s ‘Let It Go’ from ‘Frozen’

For any of you that already read my review of Frozen you already know how much I loved the new song included in the film, “Let It Go” sung by Idina Menzel, who voices Elsa, sister to the film’s lead character Anna (Kristen Bell) and the one responsible for the transformation of Arendelle’s summer to be an eternal winter.

[amz asin=”B00EDY5KTA” size=”small”]”Let It Go”, composed by Broadway’s “Book of Mormon” duo Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, is clearly, and rightfully so, the song Disney is targeting for their awards campaign and when I open the doors to my Best Original Song category this is going to top my list. It’s strongest competition, as far as I can tell, is likely to be Lana del Rey‘s “Young and Beautiful” from The Great Gatsby and U2’s “Ordinary Love” if I were to place an early wager.

I do, however, want to make sure to note, DON’T pay any mind to Demi Lovato’s more mainsteam version of “Let It Go”, which plays over the film’s end credits and while it’s perfecly fine, it in now way compares to this.

Give “Let It Go” a listen below and if you somehow still haven’t heard “Young and Beautiful” it’s below as well along with U2’s “Ordinary Love” from Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.
