You know Warner Bros. and DC are envious of what Marvel has been able to accomplish with their Avengers franchise. Especially considering they have their very own superhero team to exploit for billions of dollars at the box office and just haven’t figured out how to do it yet… the Justice League.
While we all know a Justice League movie is the end goal, the next step is Zack Snyder‘s Batman vs. Superman (aka Man of Steel 2), which will put the two DC behemoths on the big screen together for the first time and now Thor: The Dark World co-star Jaimie Alexander is getting fans all riled up at the possibility she not only knows more about the film than most, but that she’s had conversations with both DC and Marvel.
Alexander added fuel to the speculative fire telling Forbes, “I would love for DC to put Wonder Woman in one of their upcoming flicks, either in her own movie or Batman vs. Superman, or just something even to introduce her… Being in the comic book world, we know a lot of the same people at DC and Marvel, so we hear a lot of things, but it’s all speculation right now. But I would absolutely love that. Thankfully and gratefully, I’m appreciative to the people who ask my opinion of the character, and that’s been pretty amazing.”
So she loves Wonder Woman and appreciates people asking her opinion on the character and she would love to see her introduced in Batman vs. Superman. Considering the script has been written and even some filming has already taken place, Alexander is just playing with the audience or has just dropped some serious hints.
Thor: The Dark World hits domestic theaters this weekend and I expect this isn’t the last quote we’ll get from Alexander regarding the possibility unless WB and DC somehow manage to get to her first.
