Exclusive: Jackson Rathbone’s ‘Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2’ Role at Least Six Times Larger than ‘Part 1’

Jackson Rathbone‘s Jasper character has become the best part of the filmed Twilight franchise and his role in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 is now guaranteed to be at least six-times larger than his role in Part 1.

By my count Rathbone had three words in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. Those words were the ever-important “Possibly!” said with such force no one was able to ignore him. And those famous last words of warning, “We’re outnumbered.”

He’s a man of few words and several stares, but in Part 2 he shows he’s a friend of Bella (Kristen Stewart), paying her a compliment of the highest order and he’s one hell of a mathematician and this is all in this just-released, first clip from the film. A clip, mind you, that has Rathbone uttering a total of 18 words and it’s only 47 seconds long… What else could be in store over the course of the entire film?

Here Rathbone and Kellan Lutz as Emmett share a few words with Bella and Edward (Robert Pattinson) that ultimately ends in the vampire arm wrestling match-up of the century. It’s so impromptu they don’t even have time to find a table, only a giant rock boulder will do and the outcome is left a mystery we will only see the end result of on November 16, a day that will surely go down in infamy.

Watch the clip below in all its overcast glory.
