As anyone that’s been reading my weekly What I Watched columns lately or follows the site on the Facebook page already knows, I’ve been working on a complete overhaul of RopeofSilicon.com for about nine months now and I’m finally reaching the home stretch. For example, just above and behind the curtain is the first little glimpse of the new logo, which I’m quite excited to unveil along with everything else.
My current goal is to go live with the redesign on or around September 1, just before I head off to the Toronto Film Festival, but there is one last important piece of the puzzle that’s necessary… you.
The new design is going to feature a simplified navigation, user accounts, registered user specific features, the ability for custom background skins (I’ve already created one for Drive and Harold Lloyd) and a whole lot more, but I need to make sure I’m on the right track with all of it so I need your help.
Directly below is a quick, ten question survey that has a few sections where I need your specific answers and a few where you can write whatever you like. Let’s face it, without you there is no RopeofSilicon so if I don’t place your wants and desires first I’m without a job.
In the survey you’ll see questions where I require an answer marked with an asterisk (*), but hopefully you can answer all ten since that will help me out tremendously, especially where I ask for the things you don’t like or things you’d like to see improved.
