It’s hard to know where to start with these considering they aren’t going to be anything like you’d expect as the Los Angeles-based artist known as Midnight Marauder has published 12 outstanding custom made posters for Ridley Scott‘s Prometheus. If anything, these posters look like something you’d see on a Criterion cover for the film, which is no surprise considering Midnight Marauder has been creating fake Criterion covers for some time for films such as Kill Bill: Volume One, Rosemary’s Baby and even Drive. So his visual style is certainly something that will appeal to the passionate film audience out there.
For those that need a refresher, Prometheus is Ridley Scott’s return to the world he created in 1979’s Alien featuring a team of explorers discovering a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
The film is set to hit theaters on June 8 and stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Rafe Spall, Logan Marshall-Green, Guy Pearce and Patrick Wilson.
Midnight Marauder clearly has an interest in Rapace’s role in the film as she is the inspiration for several of the posters. So get to clicking.
