‘This Means War’ Gets Cut Down to PG-13 as the First Clip Premieres

A couple weeks ago the MPAA offered its This Means War, which stars Reese Witherspoon alongside Chris Pine (Star Trek) and Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises) received an R-rating for “some sexual content.” Fox immediately intended to appeal and by the end of the week the appeal fell short and the R-rating remained.

The rating was reportedly due to several sex jokes by Chelsea Handler‘s character and Fox has now agreed to cut them from the film, which now has a new PG-13 rating for “sexual content including references, some violence and action, and for language.” Of course, you know what this means, get ready for that Unrated Director’s Cut with footage too controversial to show you in theaters!

The film is set to hit theaters on February 14 and follows a pair of CIA operatives (Pine and Hardy) who fall for the same woman (Witherspoon) and are now using their skills to face off against one another in an attempt to win her heart.

Just below I have a new clip and international trailer for you to watch should you be so moved and for a little more information on the film and a look at a couple of images just click here.
