Warner Bros. New Looks at Depp and Pfeiffer in ‘Dark Shadows’ and the Cast of ‘Gangster Squad’

Warner Bros. has recently debuted three new images from a couple of their upcoming films beginning with Ruben Fleischer‘s The Gangster Squad and just above you get a look at the titular group featuring Michael Pena as Navidad Ramirez, Ryan Gosling as Jerry Wooters, Robert Patrick as Max Kennard, Anthony Mackie as Coleman Harris and Josh Brolin as Sgt. John O’Mara.

O’Mara and Wooters lead this bunch in a retelling of events surrounding the LAPD’s efforts to take back their nascent city from one of the most dangerous mafia bosses of all time. Set in 1949, the target is Brooklyn-born mob king Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn), a former boxer who became an associate of Meyer Lansky and Bugsy Siegel.

Will Beall’s penned the script based on the “Tales From the Gangster Squad” series of Los Angeles Times articles by Paul Lieberman (you can read all seven right here).

The film is set to hit theaters on October 19 and if you missed the previously released look at Penn as Cohen you can click here.

Moving on we come to Tim Burton‘s Dark Shadows as he once again teams with Johnny Depp to tell the story of a weirdo character that must put on white face paint and act… well… weird.

Based on the original 1966-71 “Dark Shadows” television show, this filmed adaptation features Depp as Barnabus Collins, who just before the Revolutionary War, was transformed against his will into a vampire and buried in a tomb for two centuries. He returns after all this time to find his once-grand estate has fallen into ruin and the dysfunctional remnants of the Collins family have fared little better.

Pictured above you see Depp as Barnabus along with Michelle Pfeiffer as Collins family matriarch, Elizabeth Collins Stoddard. Joining these two in the cast are Eva Green, Jackie Earle Haley, Bella Heathcote, Helena Bonham Carter, Thomas McDonell and Chloe Moretz, and if you haven’t yet seen the family photo click here for a peek.

A second photo, only of Depp, was also released and I’ve added it directly below. Dark Shadows is set to hit theaters on May 11.
