First Official Looks at Russell Brand and Helen Mirren in ‘Arthur’

There have been quite a few behind-the-scenes snapshots from the Warner Bros. remake of Arthur starring Russell Brand and Helen Mirren and the studio has finally released the first batch of official images from the film featuring the two actors.

Directed by Jason Winer, the film is a remake of the Oscar-winning 1981 comedy that starred Dudley Moore in the title role. This time around Brand stars as Arthur Bach and instead of having a male nanny (John Gielgud won an Oscar for his performance in ’81), Mirren stars as Arthur’s lifelong nanny Hobson (Helen Mirren). In the film Arthur has always relied on two things to get by: his limitless fortune and Hobson to keep him out of trouble. Now he faces his biggest challenge–choosing between an arranged marriage that will ensure his lavish lifestyle or an uncertain future with the one thing money can’t buy, Naomi (breakout star Greta Gerwig), the only woman he has ever loved. With Naomi’s inspiration and some unconventional help from Hobson, Arthur will take the most expensive risk of his life and finally learn what it means to become a man.

Arthur is set for an April 8 release and co-stars Luis Guzman, Nick Nolte and Jennifer Garner. For larger looks at the images in this post you can click here.
