‘Harry Potter 7’ Reaches 1,000 Sellouts

I’m quite excited to be seeing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I tonight. I’ve recently rewatched the first six films and am an admitted fan of the franchise and it seems there are a few others out there that feel the same way.

I just received the following information from the folks at MovieTickets.com:

  • Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 is leading today’s ticket sales at MovieTickets.com, accounting for 92 percent of today’s sales.
  • MovieTickets.com is reporting more than 1,000 sellouts for Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows – Part 1, with plenty of tickets still available for the film.

That news was as of 11 a.m. ET today.

Tracking for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I says it should make somewhere around $135 million this weekend, which would mean it would become the largest opening of 2010, topping Iron Man 2‘s $128,122,480. Do you see it happening?
