I’ve never seen one of Guillaume Canet’s films, though I have been just waiting for the time to watch Tell No One, a recent crime drama that got some very good reviews and apparently Miramax and Focus are teaming to put together an English-language remake. However, I hope to catch his next film at the Toronto International Film Festival where it will play in September.
The film is called Little White Lies and stars François Cluzet, Marion Cotillard, Benoît Magimel and Gilles Lellouche that centers on a group of friends and a traumatic event that ends up causing friction over the course of their annual beach vacation. Their relationships, convictions, sense of guilt and friendship are sorely tested until they are finally forced to own up to the little white lies they have been telling each other.
The showing in Toronto will be the world premiere for Little White Lies and you can now get your first look at five pics from the film by clicking here.
I will be covering the Toronto International Film Festival from September 9-16 so stay tuned for much more coverage and many more previews.
