Before You Die You See ‘The Square’

Tomorrow I’ll be seeing Nash Edgerton’s crime thriller The Square, which hits New York and Los Angeles theaters this Friday, April 9 and has already started receiving a lot of praise. I only mention it now because I had neglected to add it to the database until this morning when I added a batch of images and the theatrical trailer, which is directly below.

It looks like a rather gritty thriller said to a scheme involving an adulteress affair, an arsonist, murder, money and a bit of mayhem. Aussie director Nash Edgerton is the brother of Joel Edgerton who stars in the film and co-wrote the script with Matthew Dabner. You may recognize Joel as Hugo Croop from Joe Carnahan’s Smokin’ Aces or as Owen Lars from the Star Wars prequels.

Beyond the trailer I have also included Nash Edgerton’s short film “Spider” which runs just over 9 minutes in length featuring a couple going by the name of Jack and Jill.
