Exclusive New Clip from ‘Harry Brown’

Talk of the Michael Caine revenge thriller Harry Brown started at the tail-end of last year as it hit UK theaters in November and also debuted at the Toronto Film Festival two months earlier. It’s been described as a gritty revenge thriller and Caine has earned a dose of praise for his performance as the title character, a law-abiding citizen who reaches his breaking point when his best friend Leonard is killed amidst a world where teenage violence runs rampant. I’ve seen it called Get Carter 2 and compared to Clint Eastwood’s Gran Torino, but it sounds like it has more of a social order bend than a racial one, yet nonetheless an intriguing film.

So, when I was offered an exclusive clip I was all for it.

The clip features co-star Emily Mortimer who plays D.I. Frampton, a cop explaining why she thinks Harry Brown (Caine) is not a witness, but a suspect in a murder case.

The film is set to hit domestic theaters on April 30 from Samuel Goldwyn Films. You can get more on the film plus the red band trailer and the RopeofSilicon gallery of eleven stills right here. Check out the clip directly below and let me know what you think, and for any of you that may have seen the film already is it worth the bit of hype I’ve heard?
