Warner Bros. just sent over five new posters/banners for the upcoming April 2 release, Clash of the Titans, the remake of the 1981 cult classic that looks to be extraordinarily effects heavy. On top of that, while I haven’t seen the film yet, doesn’t all of the imagery shown in these posters as well as what’s already been previewed in trailers seem to eliminate the potential surprise of damn near every villain, creature and character in this movie? I mean, for an obvious effects-driven film doesn’t it seem like all the effects have been shown? After all, the 3D for this film is a 3D conversion, it’s not as if we are going to get the Avatar effect here.
It always makes me nervous when a film gets that feeling of being over-marketed and in conjunction with the gimmicky 2D-to-3D conversion this film really has me worried.
