What I Watched, What You Watched: Installment #27

This weekend I don’t have anything I am going to preview below, primarily because everything I watched I have either already written about or am going to write about. This includes my reviews of Daybreakers and Legion as well as upcoming DVD/Blu-ray reviews of films such as Atonement, Magnolia, Rome Open City, Paisan and Germany Year Zero. I did, however, watch half of True Lies on TNT in HD, which was a fun film to revisit, but I didn’t watch the whole thing so I’m not going to get into it here.

All that aside, I wanted to talk a little about this column, which I am very happy to see many of you reading and commenting on, but I wanted to ask more of you to not only list the films you watched and the grade you give it, but add a sentence or two to potentially open up conversation about some of your titles. I want this column to be a way for me to not only keep you up-to-date on what I am watching and perhaps get you interested in a few films off the beaten path, but for you to also develop conversations about the films you’ve watched in the comments.

Next week I should be able to get back to normal when it comes to my movie watching. Two films I’ve had on my desk for a long time are the Coens’ The Man Who Wasn’t There and The Best of Youth from 2003. But I am still deep in development of the upcoming redesign of the site so that is taking much of my free time and is one of the reasons there may be one or two fewer posts than normal each day, but trust me, you’re going to like what I have put together (at least I think you are).

So, without further blather from me, have at it in the comments and share your thoughts on what you watched.
