20th Century Fox has released six new images from their TV-to-film actioner The A-Team based on the ’80s television show of the same name centering on a crew of Vietnam vets convicted of crimes they didn’t commit. They escape and become a crew of armed mercenaries known as “The A-Team.” The film will be similar in set-up other than the fact the Middle East will stand in for Vietnam.
The film stars Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton ‘Faceman’ Peck, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as Sgt Bosco ‘B.A.’ Baracus, Sharlto Copley as Capt. ‘Howling Mad’ Murdock and Liam Neeson as Col John ‘Hannibal’ Smith with Jessica Biel and Patrick Wilson also playing roles. The film is due in theaters on June 11.
For those of you that read the headline, am I crazy or does this also remind you of the soon-to-be “Saturday Night Live” skit turned movie, MacGruber? Strangely, I am not looking forward to MacGruber, but with Joe Carnahan directing I am certainly going to give this one a shot.
