From out of nowhere comes a movie I had not heard of and one that is sure to have at least half (if not more) of the RopeofSilicon audience going, “Awwwwww, how cute…” Yup, it’s Babies, a new documentary from Focus Features arriving in 2010 and directed by Thomas Balmès. The film moves the audience from Mongolia to Namibia to San Francisco to Tokyo simultaneously, following four babies around the world – from first breath to first steps.
