The trailer for Michael Moore’s Capitalism: A Love Story debuted yesterday on CNN, but I didn’t want to switch in and out their watermarked trailer so I waited a few hours for the trailer, which I knew would be arriving later last night, and here it is.
The film will explore the root causes of the global economic meltdown and take a comical look at the corporate and political shenanigans that culminated in what Moore has described as “the biggest robbery in the history of this country” – the massive transfer of U.S. taxpayer money to private financial institutions.
Overture plans on releasing this one just over a month from now on September 23 and I expect Moore will be doing the full on press tour to get you interested. I don’t think any of his documentaries will hit home the way Fahrenheit 9/11 did in 2004, but who knows, perhaps this one will strike a cord.
