This is hardly going to be an information filled post, but considering I occasionally announce release dates for the more geek oriented titles and the fact the first Sex and the City made $152 million domestically and over $415 million worldwide I don’t think it hurts to tell you the sequel currently rolling with the appropriate title of Sex and the City 2 will hit theaters on May 28, 2010, the same weekend it proved women could still fuel box-office results two years earlier.
In other release date news Universal’s Cirque du Freak has now been slotted for a January 15, 2010 release. The Farrelly brothers’ The Three Stooges now has an undetermined 2010 release and will no longer release on November 20 of this year.
Also, the Columbia Pictures remake of The Karate Kid is now slated for a June 11, 2010 release. That film will star Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith with Harald Zwart directing.
