New ‘Star Trek’ Logo Prompts Through-the-Ages Comparison

Paramount Pictures has released a brand new logo for the upcoming Star Trek movie hitting theaters on May 8, 2009 and it is actually the third logo we have seen for the new film, but the logo for the “Star Trek” franchise has never really been a singular thing as it has changed throughout the years starting with the logo from the original series, which began back in 1996 and is featured up above to the logos throughout the TV shows and films as you will see in the group of images below.

We will start with the rest of the logos from the television shows based on the “Star Trek” franchise and move into the feature films.

I personally own all of the movies except for the original motion picture, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, which is why there is just a poster montage for those four films in the middle. I also don’t own the television series DVDs for “The Next Generation,” “Voyager” or “Deep Space Nine” but I was able to find logos for those three on the Internet.

Let’s get started with very little discussion in between.
