The ‘A-Team’ Movie is Moving Again with Joe Carnahan

According to the Hollywood Reporter Fox’s theatrical version of The A-Team has found new life after director John Singleton bailed on the project. However, it appears they have a new director in Joe Carnahan (Narc, Smoking Aces) and Ridley and Tony Scott’s production house Scott Free is aboard to produce.

You have to wonder if this will finally be the film Carnahan can get made following up on Smoking Aces. His work on Bunny Lake Is Missing was for not after Reese Witherspoon abandoned the project, White Jazz fell apart and we haven’t heard much at all about Killing Pablo recently. So, is this the one to get him back in the chair?

The film still has a June 11, 2010 release date set and now it is just a matter of filling up the cast for the Skip Woods penned script.

The A-Team centers on the adventures of a group of US Army Special Forces who are on the run for a crime they didn’t commit. The team included Hannibal, the leader whose favorite line was “I love it when plan comes together; Face, a ladies man; Howling Mad Murdock, an unstable pilot; and B.A. Baracus, the surly muscle (B.A. stands for “Bad Attitude”).
