Ellen DeGeneres to Voice Dog Show

Ellen DeGeneres (Finding Nemo) is making a return to the animated big screen, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Warner Bros. has picked up Dog Show, an animation pitch from Alan Schoolcraft and Brent Simons, the writers behind DreamWorks Animation’s’ MasterMind.

With “Show,” writer John Glenn (Eagle Eye) and producer David Manpearl developed the idea with Schoolcraft and Simons before approaching DeGeneres, who stamped it with her unique sensibilities.

While plot details are being kept under wraps, the story centers on a stray dog and her misfit friends who shake up the famed and pure-bred world of a Westminster-like dog show.

Glenn will produce with DeGeneres, and Manpearl will executive produce.
