‘Transformers 2’ Ravage Robot Concept Art

Growing up my family didn’t have a ton of money. We were by no means poor, but we were far from rich. Strangely enough the Transformer known as Ravage is a perfect example to illustrate what I am talking about as a new image of the robot, as pictured above and in a much larger version right here, hits the Internet.

You see, the Transformers toy known as Ravage transformed into a jaguar/cat-like robot and then back into a cassette tape, which would fit into the Decepticon Soundwave, a robot many fans wanted in the first film and will now be seen in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Ravage was a teency-tiny toy and instead of actually owning Soundwave all I owned was the little tape Transformer Ravage. I also had Laserbeak, a robot that transformed from a tape into a condor. You can look here at some early concept art of what Ravage and Soundwave looked like at one time.

As this new concept art courtesy of TransformersLive show it appears there may be a little change from the character I remember, but the picture below is the toy I used to own. If I am not mistaken I think the sticker on the side of his body changes with heat to the Autobot logo. I am probably wrong on that though.
