Samuel L. Jackson has joined the cast of writer/director Rodrigo Garcia’s Mother and Child, according to Screen Daily.
Jackson joins a cast that includes Naomi Watts, Annette Bening, Kerry Washington and Jimmy Smits.
Principal photography has begun on the drama, which tells the intersecting story of three women a 50 year old woman, the daughter she gave up for adoption and a woman looking to adopt a child of her own.
Lisa Maria Falcone of Everest Entertainment is producing along with Mockingbird Pictures’ Julie Lynn. Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (Babel, 21 Grams) is the executive producer. The production is the first from Everest Entertainment which is also financing the film.
