Exclusive Fast & Furious Set Visit!

Eight years after Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster starred in the fast-paced street racing thriller The Fast and the Furious, the four reprise their roles for the fourth installment of the Universal Pictures franchise.

Justin Lin, who directed The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, is back to helm Fast & Furious, which centers around Brian O’Conner (Walker) and Dom Toretto (Diesel) meeting again to stop a heroin dealer and shared enemy named Braga. The two covertly become part of his drug transporting group and Dom wins a spot on his racing team. The pair will stop at nothing to take him down.

The action-thriller, which can be seen as a sequel to the first film, was shot in Los Angeles and ComingSoon.net hung out on set during a night shoot underneath the 105 Freeway and watched the actors work until the early hours of the morning.

The area served as an exterior cargo container yard where a drug deal was about to happen, but the FBI and SWAT bust in too soon and everyone is trying to make their getaway. Laz Alonso, who plays Fenix, one of Braga’s go to guys, jumps in a green 1970 Ford Gran Torino and speeds away, but not before plowing over law enforcement agents as he races down the street. The stunt man driving actually ran over the guys, who went flying over the car and fell to the ground. Nobody was hurt, of course.

Dom and Brian are part of the sting and have heroin, which they are attempting to use as an exchange for the head of the crime family they’re going after. With the drug deal gone bad, however, they’re now just trying to get out of the crossfire.

In addition to watching the scene, ComingSoon.net talked exclusively to Walker, Alonso, John Ortiz, who plays Braga’s other right hand man, and Israeli beauty Gal Gadot, who hangs with the bad guys. You can watch the interviews in two parts below!
