BBC.co.uk is reporting that Helen McCrory has been cast as Narcissa Malfoy in the now filming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, a role Naomi Watts was at one point rumored for.
Narcissa is Draco’s mother and Bellatrix Lestrange’s (Helena Bonham Carter) sister. Oddly, McCrory was actually set to play Bellatrix before pregnancy changed those plans, placing the role in Bonham Carter’s hands.
The site goes on to point out that we should expect a casting announcement for the young Tom Riddle and Lavender Brown very soon.
Harry Potter and Half-Blood Prince is already filming and is set to hit theaters on November 21, 2008.
