Not everything J.J. Abrams gets involved with is destined to be insanely complicated and hush-hush, but it would be interesting to see how the online folks would act if there was a big secret to the newly announced romantic comedy Morning Glory of which Venus and Notting Hill helmer, Roger Michell, is attached to direct for Paramount Pictures.
The New York-based rom-com centers on a struggling female news producer and the iconic, temperamental anchorman she recruits to revive a failing network morning show. Devil Wears Prada scripter Aline Brosh McKenna is putting together the screenplay. Abrams and Bryan Burk are producing.
Just imagine, they keep all quiet on this one and the anchorman could possibly be an alien from outerspace come here to steal our brains. Then the movie gets released and he is actually just a douche from the Midwest or something. Hilarious. Then again I think they need to promote a horror movie one of these days as a light-hearted comedy only to scare the shit out of a bunch of 40-year-olds, but that’s just me, I like fucking with people and watching ’em squirm.
