Since I wrote about this earlier I felt it was my duty to let you know that Chris Crocker, the kid in that “Leave Britney Alone” rant video that popped up on YouTube and has now been viewed 8 million times might be getting his own TV show! Yeah, let’s take a look at this recipe:
- Fall in love with washed up superstar. “Check”
- Shed tears. “Check”
- Record self crying. “Check”
- Post video on YouTube. “Check”
- Be called crazy, nuts, insane, etc. “Check”
- Collect… Yup, you guessed it… “CHECKS!”
Gotta hand it to this little 19-year-old, he is sure to attract even more attention and a few checks if the planed “docusoap” makes it to television, which is the plan. 44 Blue Productions president and co-founder Rasha Drachkovitch did not say anything about his long last name, but he did say, “Chris first got on our radar a year ago… It’s going to pretty much be the ‘Chris Crocker experience,'” he said. “We consider him a rebel character that people will find interesting. He’s going to be a TV star.”
Since the video popped up on YouTube everyone has linked to it and it appears several people have tried to duplicate its success, however I am convinced there is only one Chris Crocker and he is damned entertaining.
