‘Wolverine’ Prepping for November Start

I can only wonder when the X-Men universe will end its theatrical run. Personally I think it is one of the cooler comic books out there, but that is thanks to the fact that X2 was so good, and made me a believer. We know it isn’t going to end soon as Fox is prepping Wolverine and Magneto origin stories for the screen, and we now have news that Wolverine is even closer than you may have thought.

According to the XVerse an inside source of theirs reports that production has reached the prepping stage with plans to begin filming in November in Sydney, Australia. Gavin Hood is directing and Hugh Jackman is back to star as the mutant star, but there have yet to be any other actors named.

As for Magneto, there are now two script reviews online (Collider and OWF). We have heard that director David Goyer plans on shooting in Argentina and Europe, and the film will be an origin story in which Magneto comes to grips with his mutant ability to manipulate metal objects as he and his parents try to survive in Auschwitz. Magneto meets Professor Xavier (played as the wheelchair-bound mutant leader by Patrick Stewart in the X-Men trilogy) when the latter is a soldier liberating the concentration camp. McKellen and Stewart’s participation in the film is unlikely as both characters will be played by actors in their 20s.

The only other news on the X-Men movie front is that a few new websites have been registered to Fox called x-menorigins.com, and wolverineorigins.com.
