Catherine Keener and Robin Wright Penn are set to join What Just Happened? for director Barry Levinson. The pic is a comedy based on an original screenplay by Art Linson.
The pic centers on a desperate Linson-like movie producer (Robert De Niro) trying to survive the treachery of Hollywood and a broken second marriage. Keener will play the head of the studio the producer is courting, while Wright Penn will portray the producer’s ex-wife.
Also included in the cast are Sean Penn, Bruce Willis, Stanley Tucci, John Turturro and Kristen Stewart. Willis and Penn will be playing themselves in small roles; other big named actors are expected to do the same.
Principal photography is set to begin this week in Los Angeles.
