Shawn Levy recently directed $233 million box-office hit Night at the Museum, then he was given directorial reins on The Flash and the Tom Cruise and Ben Stiller starrer The Hardy Men, and now he just got the director’s chair for the bestseller “Marley & Me”.
Philadelphia Inquirer columnist John Grogan wrote the memoir “Marley & Me” about a 13-year span of living with his very bad dog Marley. The story is of a family in the making and the wondrously neurotic dog who taught them what really matters in life.
The story was adapted for the screen by Don Roos. Filming is already scheduled to begin in late April in Los Angeles.
