It thought it was a bit of a stretch casting Paul Walker in Running Scared but he surprised me and I turned out really liking his performance and the movie. However, I don’t see New Line’s next risk working out nearly as well as they have Channing Tatum set to star as an undercover cop in an untitled action pic. Tatum is not a good actor, not at all.
The story centers on a New York City cop who must infiltrate the underground world of free running, known as Parkour, to bust a seemingly unstoppable gang of bank robbers.
New Line picked up the pitch from T. J. Scott and Kevin Lund on Wednesday.
Tatum gained little girls’ respect with Step Up and will next be seen in Stop-Loss and The Battle in Seattle.
