Jennifer Garner sure is trying to shed the Sidney Bristow/Elektra bit of type-casting as she is already set to star in another romantic-comedy, this time a remake for Warner Bros. Christmas in Connecticut.
The film doesn’t even have a writer yet to adapt the original story which revolved around a cooking writer — the Martha Stewart of her time — whom the world believes to living on a cozy farm in Connecticut with her husband and baby. In reality, she’s a single woman living on her own in New York. The ruse is discovered when a holiday meal is planned at her fake farm.
A funny little note in the article tells us that the Governator directed a remake of Christmas in Connecticut back in 1992 for television which starred Dyan Cannon, Kris Kristofferson and Tony Curtis.
Next up in theaters for Garner will be the Peter Berg directed The Kingdom and she is now beginning production on Jason Reitman’s next, Juno. She can be seen in theaters now in the lackluster rom-com Catch and Release.
