Director James Wan splashed on the scene in 2004 with his buddy Leigh Whannel and now the duo is back with a pic that they wrote together and Wan is set to direct. The film is Dead Silence and it stars Amber Valletta, Ryan Kwanten and Donnie Wahlberg and Universal Pictures is set to release it on March 16th.
It tells the story of newlyweds Jamie (Kwanten) and Lisa Ashen who have established a new life for themselves far from their hometown of Ravens Fair, but when Jamie’s wife is gruesomely murdered, he reluctantly returns to Ravens Fair for the funeral, intent on unraveling the mystery surrounding her death. Jamie begins to explore the creepy town and encounters the legend of Mary Shaw, a famous murdered ventriloquist whose presence still casts a pall over Ravens Fair.
