Variety is reporting that Bradley Cooper has signed on as the male lead in the Renee Zellweger starrer Case 39 for Paramount Pictures and director Christian Alvart.
The story centers on a social worker (Zellweger) who saves an abused girl from her parents but later discovers things are not as they seem. Cooper will play a detective who is the love interest of Zellweger’s character. Ian McShane also stars as the cop who helps Zellweger’s character investigate the case.
Ray Wright penned the screenplay and the filming is set to begin on September 5 in Vancouver.
