I have never seen Comedy Central’s “Reno 911!”, but apparently Comedy Central and 20th Century Fox and Paramount Pictures believe this one is worth the money, which probably isn’t going to be a lot, as they have decided to co-produce a feature film based on the cop spoof.
The film is described as an improvisational-based project that will follow a script written by TV series’ co-creator, Robert Ben Garant and fellow series co-creators Thomas Lennon and Kerri Kenney. Shooting will begin on January 23 in Miami and Los Angeles.
The storyline finds the officers visiting a national police convention in Miami Beach at the height of spring break. When the convention center is bio-attacked, it’s up to Reno’s “finest” to save the day.
