Sena Caught in the ‘Season of the Witch’

This synopsis sounds great and I can only hope Dominic Sena (Swordfish, Gone in 60 Seconds) can do it justice.

Variety is reporting Sena has been attached to direct the Season of the Witch for Columbia Pictures. The script was written by Bragi Schut, a man who was really written not much else, nothing recognizable at least.

The story is what is intriguing though, it revolves around a group of knights in 14th-century France who must transport a woman accused of witchcraft to a mountain abbey. The monks seek to understand and destroy her powers, which are believed to be the source of the Black Plague.

If you can’t find a movie in that synopsis I beg you to read over it and try again. Knights, witches and the Black Plague all spell hit in my head. After that, if you still can’t see a story… hit your head on the desk.
