Leo’s House Picks Up ‘Cat’s Cradle’

Leonardo DiCaprio‘s production wing Appian Way has just got its claws on another film, this time it is the feature film adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut’s classic dystopian novel Cat’s Cradle with James V. Hart and his son Jake Hart set to pen the script.

Variety describes Vonnegut’s “Cradle” as an apocalyptic tale about the planet’s ultimate fate and a race to recover the world’s most dangerous substance, Ice-Nine, a new form of ice that freezes at room temperature.

There was no word on whether or not Leo is eyeing a starring role in the feature or when it will shoot. DiCaprio is currently finishing up work on his latest Scorsese collaboration The Departed, which will be seen in theaters next year through Warner Bros.
