Besson Begins CGI ‘Arthur’ Pic

Luc Besson hasn’t been behind the camera since 1999 when he directed Milla Jovovich in The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, and it seems six years is long enough as Variety reports that Besson has already begun production on his latest script Arthur, which will star Freddie Highmore and Mia Farrow.

The film will be a mix of CGI and live-action and will be presented in 3D. As far as the story goes, Highmore plays Arthur, a little boy who turns to the help of the pixie-like Minimoys to help save his grandfather’s house. Farrow plays Arthur’s mother and the little Minimoys have already managed to pull in the voice talents of Madonna, David Bowie and Snoop Dogg.

Yup, we have all been clammoring for it and finally Luc Besson will be working with Snoop Dogg.
