JoBlo.com seems to have a bit of an insider touch when it comes to Saw 2 as the site continues to get new bits of info before anyone else, they even dropped the news on Darren Bousman being helmer long before the trades ever made the announcement.
This time the boys come to us with news that both Shawnee Smith (the girl in the head trap) and Tobin Bell (Jigsaw) will be reprising their roles in the story and that the film will have a new main character named Detective Eric Mason.
The Mason character is yet to be cast but word is that he has caught the Jigsaw killer and is looking to put a stop to his current game, already in progress. That game includes a house where unlucky participants are imprisoned and forced to off each other in brutal ways (similar to how Smith’s character was forced to kill an innocent man to save her own life in the first film) while a series of video cameras capture the killings. What Mason doesn’t realize is that the game is unfolding right in front of him…
